The Stick Horse Racing launches Video and Audio streaming on our web site. Video Selections, a library of our previous programs, including interviews and 3rd party compliments brings a new level of technology and enjoyment to our web site.... Story by MC_Excelsior "The Stick" 6/01/05 - The Stick Studio, NY We are very happy to bring our fans a new and exciting feature in the form of video and audio clips. Video selections and news commentaries are already being created and placed within our *NEW* Stick Video/Audio section within our web site. Stick Best Bets are being video taped each night and offered for $10 per day. All previous days Video Best Bets will be available for FREE review by clicking on previous dates. Normal Stick Selections Sheets are available in their Traditional TEXT format, and All Ordering options are available for Email Delivery. The quality of our video clips is 150 frames per second to allow DSL, and slower connection speed internet users the ability to download and view them. We have the ability to make very high quality Video display's, but this will make much larger files to download. We are still in a testing phase and will offer the highest quality that the majority of our fans can download and view in Windows Media Player. Most new computers will load the Video Clips as soon as you click on them, and Auto-Run them after they download. Download times are based on your computers internet connection speed. Other computers may present a pop up box saying this is an unknown file type. DON'T WORRY ! You can still view the Video. The clips will play in Windows Media Player and Real Player and Quick Time, and most other compatible media viewers. If your computer does NOT auto-run the video clip when you click on it, please follow the instructions to load it into Windows Media Player. 1. A pop up box will ask you to "Open" or "Save" the video clip. Select "Open" 2. A second promot in the pop up will ask you to "let the service automatically pick a program from the internet" OR "Select the program from a List on your computer". Press "Select the program" 3. A List of programs capable of playing media files already on your computer will appear. Find Windows Media Player and double click on it. The file will then download and auto-play in Windows Media Player. Please adjust your volume controls to the correct level so you may hear what we are saying. Please enjoy our streaming Video and Audio clips, we want to offer you the highest level of service possible. As we have mentioned earlier, this is a growing process for us. We are still experimenting with different levels of quality and speed to allow as many of our fans as possible to be able to download and view video streaming. We have invested time and effort in building the Stick Studio in NY. For those who are interested, and who have emailed in asking, the background mural is a oil painting by Dr. Catapano which was presented to us as a gift. It depicts the 1983 stretch run of the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park. If you count horses, the fourth horse out from the rail is the hooded wonder, Gate Dancer. This may be hard to make out at the 150 fps level, but it will be clearer if we can move up to higher speed levels/larger files for our fans.
