1/10/05 *UPDATE - NEW SITE REALLY LOOKING GOOD* If you do not have it yet, we recommend that you DOWNLOAD the Macromedia Flash Player Plug In 7.2 It is FREE, and you will be better able to view and enjoy our web site. We expect to have many new Flash features and graphics, but for the immediate future we will feature them on our entry page. We have been making huge strides in our updates and the new site should be up this week, unless we have trouble converting the old pages content into the new site. The new Graphics are AWESOME ! We are extremely happy with them. In honor of the old web site, the vocal welcome of "You have arrived at The Stick Horse Racing dot Com...." will greet you along with a pleasant opening. I am still formatting the News and Free Selections pages, and I am debating about leaving some wallpaper from the old site on some pages. However the majority of the pages will be crisp, clean, and without clutter. Your navigation should remain on the screen at all times, so we will not have as many linking buttons all over the place. Advertising will be open to companies and products that we hope will appeal to you, and we will have NEWS, SELECTIONS, and BANNERS along with the navigation bar AUTO-FORMAT to any size screen. We are very excited about the Starter Selections Orders on the page, you will be able to FREE view past days, and Order ON-DEMAND selections for the days races at available tracks. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the new web site in the coming week to 2 weeks. EXCELSIOR ! MC 1/07/05 *NEW FLASH WEB SITE TO REPLACE DINOSAUR ORIGINAL SITE* Dear Friends and Fans of The Stick Horse Racing dot Com, From a very humble, and low income level web site, The Stick Horse Racing has become a well known and well respected name on the web. Our Speed Figures are used by many fans to help increase their enjoyment when they go to the races or play through a simulcast. We are very happy to announce that the tradition continues and we have grown into a community on line of dedicated horse players and friends. The web site as it is today is an ancient Dinosaur from the days of the first web sites. We will try as much as possible to save the old traditions, but the *NEW* Flash web site will be something special and moves us into the Modern Era of web sites. We will continue to operate normally, and move to Beta testing of our new web site, possibly as early as 1/20, but perhaps later in the month as we see how things develop. The New site will be nothing like this one. We will have clean white pages with black text. There will be a central navigation bar at the top of the page. The pages will be segmented into different borders, and we will clean up the advertising banners so they are located in a special section, and not placed all over the pages. We will also have a new Ordering section which will allow you to purchase ONCE Per-VIEW Daily for Instant Access any 1 of Multiple tracks WITHOUT a Username and Password. you will still be able to Order individual tracks at All Levels sent to you in Email.
