Fourth Selection : D80 PP#5 Going Wild *Bejarano* 103/110
Fifth Selection : S67 PP#1 Go Coyote Joe *Pedroza* 101/105 *SSP*
(*GOLD RUSH LEVEL*)FULL COMMENTS :
Declan's Moon is the 2 yr old champion, now 3, making his first start of the year. He is 4 for 4 and undefeated. Ellis is only training a few horses and this is his star. When Espinoza shakes the reigns, this one should take charge and win for fun. 7/5 morning line would be very welcome odds if we can get them.
Spanish Chestnut should have the early lead, and will try to go wire to wire. Stevens will have his hands full at the top of the stretch, but this one should hold on for 2nd or 3rd. Unless he gasses out, but he sure looks nice from his last two races.
Snack ships in from Turfway where he faced much weaker horses. His saving grace is that he closes very powerfully and with all the speed horses pushing each other, he may find some late kick that will catapult him into the exotics. Nakatani loves to sit chilly and hammer home late, this horse suits him.
Going Wild is somehow 9/5 morning line, and just ignore that. While he wired a good field in his last beating Papi Chullo, he is not in the same league as Declan's Moon. For D.Wayne Lukas fans to be sure, this one guarantee's a speed duel with Spanish Chestnuts softening up both of them.
Go Coyote Joe is a late closer who is in way over his head. We can't envy Pedroza's backseat view of this field. Will only hit the board with a problem in the race. we only have him 5th because the last horse Julie is a sprinter.

Race #7-BALDWIN G3-$100K-6 1/2 Furlongs(TURF) *GRADED STAKES FIELD*

Third Selection: D84 PP#2 Run Thruthe Sun *Court* 86/90 *LSJ*
Fourth Selection : S69 PP#10 Sunny Sky *Douglas* 84/90 *SSP*
Fifth Selection : G71 PP#11 Chandtrue *Nakatani* 82/85
(*GOLD RUSH LEVEL*)FULL COMMENTS :
Eastern Sand has that great middle move power for this turf sprint. As the front runners tire after fast fractions, Sand should be tracking and moving into position to take the lead through the stretch. We really like this spot for this horse today.
Orbits World is more of a power closer, and will need a clean outside trip in order to power up towards the lead through the stretch. We like this one as much as the top choice, but more problems can happen to him as he makes his late run. He has to come farther and will have a short distance to get up.
Run throughthesun has wonderful early speed. The switch from dirt to turf should help him stretch out. It will all depend on how much he uses himself early. If he can conserve some energy, he should secure a top 3 finish. Possible winner if the horses behind him have traffic problems.
Sunny Sky shipped in from Europe after running very well there. He was a strong 3rd at Hollywood Park last year and is now being trained by Julio Canani(28% winners). Rene Douglas will also be stalking and closing in this race, but has to watch out for the others coming late. The distance may be too short for him.
Chandtrue has enough tactical speed to sit close, and middle move to the lead if he can get by the leader. However, this is his first start on turf and for the year, so we don't know how ready he will be. *Note, this one is undefeated 4 for 4 on dirt. A horse to include in the top 4.

Race #9-FRANK KILROE G1-$300K-1 Mile(TURF) *GRADE ONE HORSES*
Top Selection: S67 PP#8 Singletary *Solis* 98/105 *SBB*
Second Selection: S67 PP#2 Leroidesanimaux *Court* 97/105 *FFS*
Third Selection: G73 PP#5 Meteor Storm *Valdivia* 94/100 *LSJ*
Fourth Selection : D80 PP#10 Cajun Beat *Valenzuela* 93/100 *BLZ*
Fifth Selection : D82 PP#3 Musical Chimes *Prado* 91/95
(*GOLD RUSH LEVEL*)FULL COMMENTS :
Remember our comment in the headline maybe, maybe not...well use this guy ! We LOVE HIM ! He makes one late, powerful run. This one should come flying home late and he is the Breeders Cup Mile Champion. We look for Solis to wait early, and hammer hom late. A top 2 unless something happens during the race to hurt him.
Leroidesanimaux loves California and the turf. His last 5 races were very powerful victories. If Singletary was not in this race, he would be a clear top choice. On his best race, he can win in here. You have to figure John Court knows this is the best horse he has ever been on and he wants to keep this mount and win races. A battle through the stretch for sure.
Meteor Storm is a very strong veteran. The only thing that puts him in 3rd position pick is that he is coming off a bad race and a layoff. Storm gets a weight break, but may not want this Grade 1 field for his first race off the bench. On his best can win this race also. Valdivia will come late, but looks to be too late.
Cajun Beat actually won the Breeder Cup Sprint in 2003. Frankel looks to find a new division for him, as the sprinters are very deep. However, a Grade 1, mile, turf race is not a 5 1/2 furlong, G3 stake at Hollywood. This one has enough talent to hit the board for the tri or super, but would really have to have racing luck in order to win in this spot.
Musical Chimes defeated Singletary in the Oak Tree Mile, but then had 3 terrible races. This one looks to be going off form, but you know, people always ask me how I give out longshot plays, and this is one I would look at seriously. He has to be looked at with a grain of salt, but on his best race, this one can win in here. May spice up the Superfecta.

Race #10-SANTA ANITA HDCP G1-$1,000,000-1 1/4 Mile *GRADE 1, $MILLION$ RACE*
Top Selection: G72 PP#10 Rock Hard Ten *Stevens* 127/130 *SSB, FFS, BLZ*
Second Selection: G70 PP#8 Imperialism *Solis* 125/130
Third Selection: D82 PP#2 Borrego *Gomez* 122/130 *LSJ*
Fourth Selection : S66 PP#11 Saint Liam *Prado* 120/130
Fifth Selection : S69 PP#9 Supah Blitz *Espinoza* 118/125 *SSP*
(*GOLD RUSH LEVEL*)FULL COMMENTS :
Rock Hard Ten is Gary Stevens comeback dream. This horse was virtually written off by everyone last year after coming in 3rd and 4th while getting a lot of media coverage. Well, all Rock needed was a rest ! After a short rest, he came back stronger then ever. The Malibu and Strub were incredible late dashes to the wire. Rock is a big, powerful, muscular colt. We look for Gary Stevens to move late, move last, and hit the front at the wire near the 1/16th pole.
Imperialism will also be charging late, but looks to be a little short, or might not close powerfully enough to win. That being said, Imperialism can win this race with the right set up in front of him . The field needs to have a fast pace, and Rock needs to get tired chasing them for it to set up for Imperialism. A Top 4 horse for certain.
Lets rob the vault with Borrego. This is one fantastic overlay. He only had 3 bad races, and otherwise he was in the top 3. Lets put him in the tri and super and really light up the tote. The Oak Tree on turf, The KY Derby and the Preakness were the only races Borrego was not 1-2-3. I really think he will be overlooked, but he is no sure thing ! Caution is indicated in a field of this depth, and with the top 2 in here also.
Saint Liam is a wonderful horse, we love him...BUT, he makes the trip cross country after a taxing effort. All our figures say BOUNCE ! Prado ships in for the mount, and we could be wrong about the bounce. If we are wrong, then figure he can be top three. However, everything says bounce from history and experience. Your call.
Supah Blitz was 3rd in the Goodwood last year, and this is one good horse. Victor Espinoza will need a few break and will have trouble holding off the closers. However, there is every indication that this one can run big if he has a clear lead at the top of the stretch. If not, then he is in a tough spot.
